Got Milk? Apparently none on Iberia and in Madrid Barajas

There is nothing like a warm cup of milk to relax and put me in a good mood. My parents usually do a fairly good job of having a good supply of milk on hand (Mama usually has 1-2 small cartons milk in her bag whenever we go out). When we go on trips they usually buy me a few cartons after we pass security. Mama usually carry powder milk for plain rides specially. We don't usually take milk to the airport because the security guys get all suspicious as though I was planning to to smuggle a biological weapon onto the plane. For our my most recent flight my parents were surprised that they could not find any stores that sold milk after security at Madrid Barajas. Plenty of duty free with booze, perfurme, tobacco and makeup but no milk for sale. Finally, one of the cafes in the airport obliged and filled my sippy cup up with milk from their capuccino machine. After they filled it up they charged my papa 10 Euros. My papa didn't say anything but I could see from the look in his eyes saying "daylight robbery"!

However, the thing is we had a pretty long flight (13 hours). One fully sippy cup of milk would have been just fine if we had a short flight but on a long flight I like to kick back a few. My papa assured us "its a long flight.. Iberia must carry milk onboard". Famous last words.  I finished my full cup of milk after take-off and began to snooze. During the meal service while I was alseep my papa asked the stweardess for milk. The stewardess returned with some tiny packets of creamer. "No" my papa clarified "we need milk for the baby".  "Sorry sir we have a limited supply of milk on the plane" was her answer with a look as though she was doing us a favor responding to his request.

So I woke up again - played for a bit - walked around the plane and started to get thirsty for another cup of milk. I looked through mamas bag and gave her that questioning look trying to say "where's my milk?". None around on Iberia apparently.

In the end we were able to snag some milk from one of the business class flight attendants. Go sneaky papa!
