So I have done a fair bit of traveling considering I am only 14 months old. For the most part I've adjusted quite well to all this travel. On my last flight, I traveled from Europe to Central America with a cold and pink eye! It wasn't exactly fun but in the end it was worthwhile trip to go see my aunts and uncle over in Guatemala. I even got compliments on the plane and when we landed for handling the trip so well. Even the rude Iberia air hostesses smiled at me (although they refused to give me milk, but that's another story). To begin 2013 my parents had a new challenge for me - we were going to travel from Central America (Guatemala City) to Asia (Bangkok) with a 28 hour layover in Europe (London via Madrid). Total travel time of about 50 hours (yes, I am not kidding!). To top it off during our layover my parents needed me to stay quite while they packed up our apartment in Europe. So I don't know what your idea of a fun time is but I think I have concluded mine doesn't include 50+ hour trips!!!
It was on the second leg of the journey (London-> Bangkok), somewhere over Ukraine where I lost the plot. I mean I had no idea if it was night or day - whether I should sleep, eat or play! My papa was supposedly trying to calm me down and put me to sleep but he kept jabbing me in the stomach putting on and off my seat belt (PS: If you ever ride with papa watch out for the baby seat belt -- I don't think he has mastered it yet). That was it for me, so I yelled and yelled until I got all my frustration. It wasn't too long maybe 5-7 mins but It felt good to let of some steam. I am sorry if you were a passenger on BA009 that had to hear me. I suspect you might do the same or worse if you were 13 months and starring in mission impossible baby edition.
So finally we arrived in Thailand. The weather was really nice and warm. Finally, we had all our bags and I was ready to get "home" (wherever home is!). That's when I figured out we still had an additional 3 hours to get to drive to our Condo in Hua-Hin. ARRRGHHH. Are we there yet???
PS: I even had to push the trolley!
